Tiffany King

Executive Board

Tiffany King is a dedicated educational leader with over 24 years of experience spanning public education, human resources, nonprofit management, and community-based service. As an Executive Board Member of the OSAS Union, she is a steadfast advocate for operational and administrative staff across Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), championing transparency, equity, and strategic collaboration.

In her current role as Operations and Human Resources Program Associate within DPSCD’s Division of School Nutrition, Tiffany supports more than 550 staff members. She leads key HR functions including hiring, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. Her efforts have improved PCN processing accuracy and introduced Microsoft-based systems to enhance communication, workforce tracking, and real-time reporting. She plays a vital role in aligning nutrition services with districtwide enrollment strategies and student needs.

Tiffany’s career includes impactful roles in education, charter school administration, and workforce development. Notably, as a YouthBuild Program Manager at Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation, she led full-cycle enrollment for at-risk youth, facilitated cross-sector partnerships, and streamlined onboarding processes—all with a focus on access and opportunity for underserved communities.

A passionate advocate for family and community engagement, Tiffany has held leadership roles in numerous school-based and union organizations. She has served as PTA and Title I Chairperson and currently chairs the School Advisory Council at Cass Technical High School. As both a parent and employee of DPSCD, she brings a unique and personal perspective to her work, ensuring that student and family voices are central to district decision-making.

Tiffany is currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Leadership, equipping her with advanced skills to drive innovation and change. As an OSAS Union Executive Board Member, she continues to lead with purpose—supporting fair representation, operational excellence, and a culture of integrity across the district.
