Join the Union

Making a membership investment in OSAS can change your life.
Becoming an OSAS member is easier than ever before.
Set up recurring monthly or bi-weekly investments in your union using our secure payment transaction site. Choose the one that works best for you and your family.

Once your membership starts, you will have the right to attend meetings, vote in elections, provide input during contract talks, and vote on approval of contracts.

Let your voice be heard.  Just ask Alex Cintron. He knows the power of the union and community.

Members have the power of the union on all matters whether it is a contract violation or not.

Members are provided a professional liability insurance plan that offers up to $1 million of protection against civil actions arising out of bodily injury to a student; accidental death of a student; assault or battery accusations; corporal punishment; personal injury for libel, slander or defamation of character; violation of the right to privacy or detention; damage or destruction to the property of others; plus $1 million of protection against employment liability acts or omissions; and up to $15,000 of defense costs for employment liability acts or omissions, sexual misconduct and corporal punishment, subject to the terms of the policy.

It is important to remember that individuals that are covered by the contract, are not union members if they do not pay monthly union membership fees.

Unfortunately, if you are not a member, you're letting someone else pay for your workplace protections, empowering work rules, and increasing your compensation.

If you do join the union, please help us explain to non-paying members why it is so important to stand united and to make a membership investment.

Preserve. Protect. Peace.

What do these words mean to you?

In a union these words mean everything. We preserve your way of life by working to create the best contracts that support all the hard work you put in daily. Unions protect when employees are under attack. Unions provide peace. The peace of mind knowing that someone is looking out for you while you work instead of looking over your shoulder while you work. Unions provide something very important to your daily professional life and career, but it cannot function without your support.
